What to check on your iPad
Match the family and generation
iPad, iPad Air, iPad mini and iPad Pro are distinct models. Check Settings → General → About for the model name and number, including its generation and screen size.
Choose storage and connectivity
Match the full storage capacity and choose Wi-Fi or Wi-Fi + Cellular as appropriate. For cellular models, use the carrier options offered for your exact iPad.
Check the tablet itself
Review the screen, enclosure, cameras, buttons and charging port. Answer for the iPad being traded in, and follow your offer’s instructions about any accessories.

Before you ship your iPad

Back up your iPad
Save photos, files, notes and app data, and transfer anything you need before erasing the tablet.
Remove Find My and management locks
Sign out of your Apple Account and remove Activation Lock. Have the relevant organization remove any work or school management restrictions.
Erase and disconnect service
Erase all content and settings after backing up and removing accounts. For cellular iPads, transfer or cancel service as needed before removing your SIM or eSIM.
Pack and label securely
Follow your offer’s packing instructions. Use a sturdy box and cushioning, attach the provided shipping label and keep your drop-off receipt.

How much can I get for my iPad?
The estimate depends on its family, generation, size, storage, connectivity and condition. Use the tool to check your configuration. Final value follows inspection.
Do Wi-Fi and cellular iPads have different estimates?
Connectivity is part of the device configuration. Select the Wi-Fi or cellular version you own, along with its storage and any carrier option, to see the matching estimate.
Can I include an Apple Pencil or keyboard?
Follow the instructions in your offer rather than assuming accessories are included in the iPad estimate. If you want to sell another item, check for its own listing or contact Plug first.
Can I sell an iPad from work or school?
You must be authorized to sell it, and device-management restrictions and activation locks must be removed. If it remains managed by an organization, contact that organization before arranging a trade-in.
Is shipping free?
The prepaid shipping label provided for your mail-in offer is free to use. Pack your device securely and follow the carrier and drop-off instructions supplied with your label.
How can I receive my payout?
Choose Store Credit or select Choose Later to pick a digital payout method after inspection. Available options are shown in your offer and may include bank transfer, PayPal, Venmo, instant debit transfer and Cash App.
Do I have to buy a replacement device?
No. You can submit a buyback offer without placing a shopping order. If you choose Store Credit, you can use that credit toward a purchase.
When will I be paid?
Payment follows receipt and inspection of your device. Submitting an online offer does not trigger payment. Contact Plug if you need help with the status of your offer.
