What to check on your Samsung Galaxy

  1. Find the exact Galaxy model

Galaxy S, Galaxy A and Galaxy Z phones have different configurations. Check Settings → About phone for the model name and model number, then match it in the tool.

  2. Match storage and network

Choose the phone’s full storage capacity and its carrier or unlocked option. Do not use the amount of free space or the capacity of a removable memory card.

  3. Check screens and hardware

Review the display, cameras, charging port and buttons. For a foldable Galaxy, check both displays and the hinge, then answer the tool’s condition questions accurately.

Before you ship your Samsung Galaxy

Prepare your device after reviewing your offer and shipping instructions. You do not need to erase it to check its value.

  1. Back up and transfer your data

Save photos, files, contacts and messages before resetting your Galaxy. Transfer your mobile service to your next phone.

  2. Remove linked accounts

Remove your Google and Samsung accounts and any activation locks before resetting. If the phone is managed by a business or school, arrange for its restrictions to be removed.

  3. Reset and remove cards

Factory-reset after your backup and account removal. Take out your physical SIM and any microSD card; remove an eSIM after transferring service.

  4. Pack and label securely

Follow your offer’s packing instructions. Use a sturdy box and cushioning, attach the provided shipping label and keep your drop-off receipt.

Samsung Galaxy trade-in questions

How is my Samsung Galaxy estimate calculated?

The estimate depends on the exact Galaxy model, storage, carrier and condition you select. Check current options in the tool; the final value follows inspection.

Can I sell a Galaxy Z Flip or Z Fold?

Search for your exact Z Flip or Z Fold generation in the tool. If it is available, select the matching configuration and answer the condition questions, including those about the screens and hinge.

What if my Galaxy has a cracked screen?

Select your exact model and check the available condition options. A damaged phone only qualifies if an offer is available for its condition. Do not ship it before completing an offer.

Should I remove my Google and Samsung accounts?

Yes, before shipping. Back up first, remove your Google and Samsung accounts, then factory-reset your Galaxy. Account locks and device-management restrictions must be resolved; a reset alone may leave an account lock in place.

Is shipping free?

The prepaid shipping label provided for your mail-in offer is free to use. Pack your device securely and follow the carrier and drop-off instructions supplied with your label.

How can I receive my payout?

Choose Store Credit or select Choose Later to pick a digital payout method after inspection. Available options are shown in your offer and may include bank transfer, PayPal, Venmo, instant debit transfer and Cash App.

Do I have to buy a replacement device?

No. You can submit a buyback offer without placing a shopping order. If you choose Store Credit, you can use that credit toward a purchase.

When will I be paid?

Payment follows receipt and inspection of your device. Submitting an online offer does not trigger payment. Contact Plug if you need help with the status of your offer.
