Best iPhones for Students 2026 — Certified Pre-Owned

Best value — iPhone 12 or iPhone 13

For many students, an iPhone 12 or 13 balances modern performance, capable cameras, and a lower price than a recent flagship; confirm current iOS support and listing condition.

Best battery headroom — larger-screen models

A larger Plus or Pro Max model can provide more battery capacity for long class days, navigation, commuting, and study sessions, with extra size and weight as the tradeoff.

Best cameras on a budget — Pro models

Photography, journalism, and content-creation students can compare prior-generation Pro models for additional camera options without defaulting to the newest release.

Best premium-but-affordable — recent flagship

A recent Plug Certified flagship can deliver newer features and a longer likely support runway while avoiding the launch price of the newest model.

Best compact and lightweight — mini or standard

A mini or standard-size model is easier to use one-handed and carry all day; compare that convenience with the battery capacity of larger models.
