Is Your Phone Unlocked?
Let’s make sure your phone is good to go. Scroll down to quickly check if your iPhone or Android is unlocked:
iPhone
Step 1: Quick Status Check
1. Go to Settings → General → About
2. Scroll to Carrier Lock
If it says “No SIM restrictions”, your iPhone is unlocked ✅
If it shows anything else, your iPhone may be locked
Step 2: SIM Swap Test
1. Power off your iPhone
2. Remove your SIM and insert one from a different carrier
3. Power back on and try calling or using data
If it works → unlocked
If you see “SIM Not Supported” → locked
What if it’s locked?
You’ll need to request an unlock directly from your carrier.
Android
Step 1: Quick SIM Test
1. Power off your phone
2. Insert a SIM card from a different carrier
3. Power back on and try making a call or using data
If it works → unlocked
If you see “SIM Not Supported,” “Network Locked,” or “Enter Unlock Code” → locked
Step 2: Settings Check
1. Open Settings → Network & Internet (or Connections) → Mobile Networks
2. Look for Network Operators
3. If you can manually scan or choose from multiple networks, your phone is likely unlocked.
