How can I tell which AirPods I have?
With the AirPods connected, open Settings, then Bluetooth, and tap the info button next to them to see the model number. It is also printed on the case. AirPods 4 come in two versions, with and without Active Noise Cancellation, and the tool asks which you own.
Do I need to remove my AirPods from Find My?
Yes. Remove them from your Apple Account in Find My, then unpair and reset them. AirPods still linked to an account can be locked to it, and a locked pair cannot be traded in.
How should I clean AirPods before sending them?
Wipe the earbuds and case with a dry, soft, lint-free cloth. Use a dry cotton swab for the speaker mesh and never use liquid. On a Pro model, remove the ear tips and wipe them separately. The final value still follows inspection, but a clean set is described more accurately.
