Collection: Certified Pre-Owned iPads, Every Model, Fully Unlocked

Certified Pre-Owned iPads at Plug start from $99 for older models and go up depending on generation, storage, and connectivity options. (Verify current pricing before publishing.) Every iPad includes free shipping and a 12-month warranty, so the price you see is the full value you receive, with no hidden fees.

Yes, all iPads with cellular connectivity sold by Plug are fully unlocked and work with any carrier's SIM card. Wi-Fi-only models don't require any carrier at all. Every iPad arrives factory-reset, so you set it up fresh under your own Apple ID.

For most students, the standard iPad (9th or 10th generation) is the best choice, it supports Apple Pencil for note-taking, handles every major education app, and is priced well below the iPad Air or Pro. Students who want Apple Pencil 2nd gen support and a faster chip should consider the iPad Air. The iPad Pro is typically more than a student needs unless they're studying design or media production.

Plug.tech specializes in Certified Pre-Owned Apple devices and applies a 90+ point inspection standard to every iPad. Unlike general marketplaces where quality varies by seller, every iPad at Plug.tech meets the same standard, includes a 12-month warranty, ships free, and can be returned within 30 days. It's the most reliable source for CPO iPads outside of Apple's own refurbished program, and usually priced lower.

Yes, Apple Pencil compatibility depends on the iPad model, not whether it's new or CPO. The standard iPad supports Apple Pencil 1st gen. The iPad Air, iPad Pro, and iPad mini (6th gen) support Apple Pencil 2nd gen. Plug also sells iPad + Apple Pencil bundle packs if you want everything in one order.
