iPhone 18 Pro, Pro Max & iPhone Duo Comparison Guide
Updated on | 4 mins readThe key choice in Apple’s newly announced lineup is between two conventional Pro phones and a folding Duo. The iPhone 18 Pro is the lightest of the three; Pro Max offers a larger display and a higher video-playback rating; Duo opens into a wider 7.6-inch display.

Starting prices come from the Pro announcement and Duo store. Battery numbers are Apple’s video-playback ratings under its test conditions, not guaranteed everyday or gaming endurance. US eSIM-only Pro figures must not be assumed for physical-SIM regional variants.
Size and weight
Height × width × depth is 150.0 × 71.9 × 8.75 mm for Pro and 163.4 × 78.0 × 8.75 mm for Pro Max. Duo measures 117.8 × 84.1 × 11.3 mm closed and 117.8 × 164.6 × 5.2 mm open. It weighs the same in either position. Compare your current phone in our weight guide; a folding phone’s closed width and thickness matter as much as its open screen.
Camera differences
Both Pro models list a 48MP Main camera with four aperture settings, a 48MP Ultra Wide, and a 48MP 4x Telephoto. Apple also lists a 12MP 8x optical-quality option; that wording is different from a dedicated 8x optical lens. Duo has 48MP Main and Ultra Wide cameras, with a 12MP 2x optical-quality option from its Main camera. Its specification does not list the Pro Main camera’s variable aperture or a dedicated rear telephoto.
Features shared across the three
All have A20 Pro, ProMotion up to 120Hz, USB-C with USB 3 data transfers up to 10Gb/s, and MagSafe charging up to 25W with appropriate equipment. Storage choices are 256GB, 512GB, 1TB and 2TB. US versions use eSIM, with no physical SIM tray. Apple Intelligence and Siri AI have feature, language, software and regional requirements; a supported chip is not a promise that every feature is immediately available everywhere.
Which differences are worth paying for?
Choose around a need you can name. Pro may fit a preference for the narrowest and lightest new model; Pro Max offers more screen and a higher playback rating; Duo offers a folding workspace with different camera and biometric choices. These specifications do not establish real-world drop performance, gaming temperatures or camera quality.
