My iPhone is getting hot, why?

  Your iPhone gets hot because the battery and other hardware inside generate heat whenever your phone is working, even if it’s just charging. Your iPhone is designed to dissipate heat, but an old battery, too many apps running, and even direct sunlight can make your phone overheat. Obviously a little warmth is fine, but if the device feels like its burning, then yes we'd agree there is something wrong. The battery could be causing internal components of the device to be affected or there could be a software defect that is making your processor run at maximum power, consistently.

 Incase you're unable to get into a technician, we will supply a few ways to keep your iPhone cool and other courses of action to take to prolong the life of your device, because heat can damage things within the device internally, so it is imperative to act quickly. Unplug the device if you feel it getting hotter than usual. Remove the case from the device, it may sound silly but you want as much airflow getting to the device as possible. Fan the phone gradually, if the devices cools down too quickly, it can create condensation in the device, so this goes without saying, do not put your device in the fridge or freezer.
